Phase 1: Utility First

The initial concept for creating an NFT collection was born out of a desire to turn the traditional model of creating a PFP collection first and “promising” utility later on its proverbial head. Our team had already developed an innovative tool that served our community and showcased the best Cardano tech had to offer.

Rarity Dawg was a fun experiment to explore the possibilities of marrying utility with NFTs. Sure, the art aesthetic may seem somewhat rudimentary at first glance, but there is nothing basic about the utility that was layered into our collection through our NFT recycler.

Not only did the greater community get compensated in a multitude of valued Cardano native tokens for ever-increasing rugpulls in the space, but Dawg holders got exclusive access to the recycler and received token multipliers for being loyal supporters.

Countless recycles later, we began to understand that limiting the supply of these “access passes” by using our recycler got rid of the paper hands and made the “rarity” in our collection live up to its name. We were onto something, something that had the potential of creating the most utility-laden, highly sought-after PFP collection out there.

Phase 3: Transcendence

A dawg is the only thing in life that loves you more than it loves itself.

The concept of Dawg has always centered around rewarding loyalty and staying equally loyal to our team and community of Dawgs by innovating in a space that is evolving so quickly. We’re constantly studying other chains and exploring new utilities and art mediums from on-chain, generative, algorithmic and AI art to emerging AR, VR and metaverse worlds that will influence our future collections.

The idea is to collaborate with the very best on-chain creators to develop a Dawg collection that will transcend the aesthetic and technology used in previous collections. Picture art that evolves based on your interactions, how loyal of a Dawg holder you are, and other exciting possibilities.

The upcoming On-Chain Dawg collection will plug directly into our growing suite of utilities such as the Converter and Promoter and games like the Whitelister,  Memorizer, and Pilferer to continue strengthening the relationship between our art and utilities.
